Coming off a rough 2023, I took a break from working out the last three months of the year. I knew going into 2024 I wanted to start the year off stronger and better than I was. I needed to be mentally and physically in better shape. I reached out to Mitch in January and we discussed what my goals were moving forward. We had a deep discussion, and I really feel like he listened and heard what I needed. I really enjoy the breakdowns he gives me, not overly complicated at all. Left - July 2023. Overweight and tired all the time. Season of depression even though on the outside everything seemed fine. Inconsistent with work, life, eating, etc.
Right - October 2023. Better shape. Way more energy. Consistent, disciplined, and focused not only in the gym, but it’s bled over into better discipline with work, being a better dad/active with my girls, and overall better quality of life.
I post this in hopes to encourage those of you (and myself) who might be in a valley type of season in life. Do the work even when you don’t feel motivated. ESPECIALLY then. Show up for yourself so when hard times come, the storm is weathered more easily. You can do this. I promise.
